The short version. This site exists to support survivors and the people who love them. Use it in that spirit. What you read here is information and community, not professional advice. Be decent, respect other people’s privacy, and know that in a crisis the right door is 988, not a website.
Agreeing to these terms
By using janbrobergfoundation.org, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted here is the one that applies.
What this site is, and what it is not
The Jan Broberg Foundation provides education, community, and advocacy for survivors of child sexual abuse. Nothing on this site is medical, psychological, or legal advice, and nothing here replaces care from a qualified professional. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 in an emergency.
Community spaces
The Survivor Circle is hosted at circle.janbrobergfoundation.org and has its own community guidelines, which apply there in addition to these terms. What is shared in survivor spaces is shared in confidence. Do not copy, screenshot, or repost another person’s words or identity from any JBF community space.
Using our content
The content on this site, including text, logos, and images, belongs to the Jan Broberg Foundation or is used with permission. You are welcome to share links to our pages, quote us with credit, and share your own signed pledge anywhere you like; it is yours. Please do not use our name or logos in a way that suggests we endorse something we have not, and do not republish substantial parts of the site without asking us first.
Respecting other people
Do not use this site to harass anyone, to attempt to identify or contact pledge signers or community members, to scrape or harvest personal information, or to interfere with the site’s operation. We may block access to protect the people this site serves.
Donations
Donations are processed securely by Stripe. If something goes wrong with a donation, write to info@janbrobergfoundation.org and a person will sort it out with you.
Links to other sites
We link to other organizations and services we do not control, and we are not responsible for their content or practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything a site does.
Disclaimers
We work hard to keep the information here accurate and current, but the site is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Jan Broberg Foundation is not liable for damages arising from your use of the site.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict of law principles.
